Unlike most “blackened death” or “death/black” metal bands out there that set out with the goal, in lue of legitimate ideas, to simply mash up various gratuitous, “cool sounding” but superficial trappings of either genre(paging Anaal Nathrakh), Necros Christos transcend the allopatric lineages that diverged around 1990 in a way not unlike the primordial bands they aspire to channel.

I agree that even down to the melodies, this music is quite comical but it still avoids the populist kind of ‘Hollywood evil’ sound that conveys none of those occult moods that Necros Christos manage to capture.
