Absu
The Sun of Tiphareth
[Osmose]

In a slightly more controlled and matured manner in comparison to their first album, Absu create occult metal with mostly Mesopotamian themes. Not much fancy intros, interludes or gothicism, mostly this means indecipherable lyrics and a complex approach to songwriting. Slayer is an old-school influence in the riffs and don't expect anything of the extremest angles from this album.

"The Sun of Tiphareth" is what you could call a balanced album, though I can see why many choose this as their least favorite Absu album. It's not really much into any of their directions, but whatever it does, it has a grasp on.
