Barbatos is the solo project of an Abigail member if memory serves me correctly, while Wolfsburg is an underground black metal band from Germany. A political German band + a Japanese band dedicating his side of the split to 'all soldiers of WWII' = unholy Axis metal? It's a strange world we live in, but it's true. Wolfsburg mention "Hail to Japan! Again we'll rise..." to top things off.

The German duo is hard to describe really. I suppose they sound a little bit like Capricornus on his demo. A straight forward blasting drum machine, deeper roaring vocals, and a 'La-la-la-la-la-la' chorus to end off the track. Bizarre stuff. 'Zerschmetterer' is a bit more machine-gun tight, but again reminds me of Capricornus. Nothing too impressive...

Barbatos on the other hand is pure holocaust metal. This is psychotic stuff...it even outdoes the old Abigail demos. There's a heavy thrashing feel to the music, and the lower (obviously distorted) vocals only add to that. Crushing, heavy black/thrash.
