Immolation
Failures for Gods
[Roadrunner]
Rushing death metal building songs around
central melodies and uses fast melodic playing within each song. Riffs
against life gain feral power alongside progressive intentions in overall
musicality and the trademark gutteral streetsweeper vocals drive blasting
drums to greater extremes of chaos. Pensive song structures allow for
contemplative atmosphere followed by viciously degrading blasts of ire,
architected in riffs of oblique melody and often tugging, blasting or
ripping power chord appetite. Like the last Immolation last album developed
into an ideal of their first "Dawn of Possession," this thundering
masterpiece dominates with reason and violence.
