Morbid Angel
Covenant
[Earache]
This album is a death metal classic...it's also Morbid Angel's highest
selling album. There has been line-up changes (Brunelle is not part of the
band anymore) and Trey Azagthoth takes full control on the guitars and music
writing. In this album the songs are pretty short, fast and filled with
amazing solos (listen carefully to "Angel of Disease" and you'll understand
what I'm talking about). The production is very good, the sound is very
clear. No doubt the band has developed and became professional, they were
taking a step forward with each release and have now reached the top. With
songs like "God of Emptiness", "Rapture", and "Angel of Disease", it's hard
to say anything bad about this album.
