In The Red
[Combat]

1990 solo album from Nuclear Assault's Glen Evans will probably be hard to track down. I found this tape in the 2 for $5 bin at WalMart (See, you never know what you will find on scavenging/ search & destroy missions at EVERY store). "In The Red" is better than most of the Nuclear Assault albums. The local metal DJ would only play one track off this, and it didn't blow me away. If I had heard more, I would have bought this back in the day, as it's solid in songs and sound. Produced by Casey McMackin and Glen Evans.

Full, crunchy, smoking old school thrash metal, with that Nuclear Assault/ crossover/ headbanging feel. Gritty vocals, amazing lead guitar, and cool riffs. Definitely underrated, and a must for diehard metallers. Even the cheesy ending song for his wife is cool. By the way, is it just me, or doesn't "Flight 103" sound like Bound For Glory??
