[Unsung Heroes]

1. 8:30 Watcher In The Water
2. 8:47 And Yet You Stare
3. 11:09 To Drown Beyond the Sunset/ Perhaps Someday Softer Rains Will Come

Doom Metal. Excellent like Opthamalia (but way slower), early My Dying Bride, Trouble, slow eerie Autopsy, Cathedral, old Sabbath or Kiss played at 16 rpm (I guess none of you know what that means anymore?), old Paradise Lost with hoarse death metal growling. No, actually, let me put it this way. With "Watcher In The Water", for two minutes you hear slow suicidal instrumental playing, then you get Toby Chappell's croaked out, dying, batlord, goat vocals. Yeah, cool, gory, and fucking sick! And you know what? He almost never sings!

Releases like this one (from 1999) prove sometimes (maybe always?) it is better for just one person write, arrange and perform the music. Good for us on this one, as it just punches you with gloomy, twisted riffs.
