The first song I think I ever heard by Chicago's MACABRE was "Mr. Albert Fish (Was Children Your Favorite Dish?)" from the Grim Reality mini LP. It was the coolest and funniest thing I heard since WEHRMACHT. This 27 minute CD also is hilarious and pretty quick. Unprofessional production, singing, etc makes this more of a hardcore than metal release. Since the metal-edge guitar, solos, and use of death-y vocals are present, it isn't a surprise MACABRE have been in underground metal zines for so long.
