Exciter
Long Live The Loud
[Music For Nations]

I can't remember if this was released before or after the "Feel The Knife" 12" single (which also had Violence & Force, and Pounding Metal live in Ottawa). Exciter's third album from 1985 was a let down. The production, the overall sound was more professional than ever, and still heavy. However the song writing, the riffs just weren't happening. Dry, uninspired, even boring. There are some decent songs, but nothing equal to the first two albums. After this, I believe guitarist John Ricci and drummer/lead vocalist Dan Beehler argued about this, with Ricci leaving the band for a long time, and owning a guitar shop I read. Also, the album artwork was recently ripped off, ChorazaiM pointed it out while holding his sides from laughter, this other metal act was too blatant in stealing it. Sort of how Dissection from Quebec stole the idea of their album cover from a Malhavoc flyer for "Shrine", but any- ways...if you see this cheap, and have extra dough....maybe buy it. This is one of those albums you have on in the background while you're working on things and really aren't paying attention.

Side Heavy- Fall Out (intro)/Long Live The Loud/I am the Beast/Victims of Sacrifice/Beyond the Gates of Doom
Side Metal- Sudden Impact/Born to Die/Wake Up Screaming
