Metal Church
Metal Church
[SteamHammer]

Hmm, Terry Date produced this I just noticed. This was also part of that Power Metal scene in 1984, but a bit more traditional. The vocals remind me Ian Gillan (Black Sabbath, Born Again LP's faster tracks). Nasally, shifting from a higher/sort of shrieky vocals to almost Manowar/Bruce Dickinson power. Excellent musicianship and decent songs, some are classics. Merciless Onslaught, God of Wrath (which equals Priest's Beyond The Realms of Death, in my opinion), and Battalions. The cover of Deep Purple's Highway Star is cool and faster than the original. The cassette had a bonus song "Big Guns" but you can sleep knowing it isn't great, just average.

Side One-Beyond The Black/Metal Church/Merciless Onslaught/God of Wrath
Side Two-Hitman/In The Blood/(My Favorite) Nightmare/Battalions
