Mordred
Fool's Game
[Noise]

This San Francisco band went through line-up and sound changes in the 80s before finally getting a record deal. This 1989 release is pretty decent, but I wish instead of taking riffs from "In Cold Blood" and "Chains" (I think), and incorporating them into other songs, they just recorded them the way originally intended. The only real oldie I assume is "Reckless Abandon"....oh yeah, what the hell do Morded sound like? Very Megadeth/Death Angel-like in my opinion, but "poppier". The singer is very high, even girly-sounding. The guitar riffs, sound, & production is very sharp. Down points are the two funky tracks "Every Day's A Holiday" and the cover of Rick James' "Super Freak". If you are into that, it's done well, but they went too groove-oriented after this debut, and needless to say, suck shit. I warn you, the singer is whiny, and one guitarist is a Juden.

Side 1- State of Mind/ Spectacle of Fear/ Every Day's A Holiday/ Spell- bound/ Sever and Splice
Side 2- The Artist/ Shatter/ Reckless Abandon/ Super Freak/ Numb.
