Pure Holocaust is the second album of four made by this Norwegian band. Here, the music is characterised by its brutal & infernal rhythm ; there is almost no slow part on any of the 8 songs, with, sometimes, strange rhythms. The drumming is pretty good and fits perfectly with the music. Abbath's voice is very raucous, like a roaring demon, but I've heard much better. The lyrics, if not openly satanic, are very (haha!) evil and better than on the others albums, even if, as usual, they often means nothing. They are about darkness & other evil things :) I like all the songs, especially "Unsilent Storms In The North Abyss" & "Pure Holocaust". On this album, Immortal doesn't use any keyboards ; they don't need it to create their cold atmosphere. The production is good. Immortal are a bunch of fucking clowns, but the music is good...
