This is supposedly black metal and why I do not know... This is basically similar to Theatre Of Tragedy, but where Theatre of Tragedy has some, although few, elements from death metal, Bloodthorn has a few elements from "modern black metal", (far less female vocals also) and I use the term lightly, but Theatre of Tragedy is described as gothic, why isn't Bloodthorn? That is quite mysterious to me. The album is as such not a bad one, but a rather superfluous one, bland and meaningless. This is rather ok for background noise, but it hardly inspires to violence, hatred, suicide or actually inspire to anything at all, you can listen to this album and then... what? It does noting whatsoever, if anyone asks me why they should get this album rather then the next one... I can't give them any answer at all.
