Motorhead
Overnight Sensation
[CMC International]

Ah yes! This heavy 1996 album forgives Lemmy for some of the fluff he tried to pass as Motorhead. Picking up where the "Rock n Roll" album left off, ballsy, stand your ground, where's my fuckin fish'n'chips, no nonsense riffing! Solid like the glory days (ie. "Another Perfect Day" "Iron Fist" "Overkill" "Bomber" albums). Sure there's a couple of less than amazing tunes, and there's some accoustic guitar like you heard recently on "Snake Bite Love", but Lemmy gives what his fans expect and deserve- heavy rockin' biker metal. The thrash element is kept to a minimum, and there's no Los Angeles lameness influencing him this time.

While Overnight Sensation isn't a party album like Orgasmatron, it's a relief to know I have something to listen to that is in the life is shit, working class tradition.
