In Battle
The Rage of the Northmen
[Napalm]

After not enjoying the first (boring) LP from this lot, I managed to borrow this from a friend not expecting much. And that's exactly what I got! There are two things that can be considered "good" about this release: the technical drumming, and the huge production. I don't know what the band's secret is, but the production here is MASSIVE.

What else can one expect though? Quite literally: nothing! The old vocalist is no longer here, leaving the drummer behind the microphone. He has a much more (weak, weak, weak) death metal feel to his throat, which makes the music sound awkward in some sections. Keyboards are laughable. The riffs make the music sound like blues-rock with a blast beat. And just like the first, this CD is entirely unfulfilling.

Not to mention that I'm so fucking sick of worthless Scandinavians complaining about their precious Odin while playing hyper-fast black/death metal. Shut up!

Scandinavian metal has come to remind me of the British as people. Egotistical, smelly, boring, idiotic, and incapable of doing anything without a huge pole shoved up their bums.
