I promised to find some more Icelandic metal, and so here you go. While other bands like Fields of the Filthy and especially Solstafir are grand, Mind as Mind are simply...well, fucked out of their trees. What is going on here?
The demo sounds like it was recorded over a P.A system. The vocals are distorted especially, and sometimes sound like Germany's Absurd, and other times like someone talking through a P.A system. The production is loud and thick at the same time, just distorted (on purpose and proficiently obviously). The music is equally warped, as it seems to be doing its own thing. There is a darker form of metal going on here though!
It can get nicely atmospheric at times too, and is indeed original in a different (good!) way. So I guess I must say "go ahead, pick it up", although I'm still in a haze after listening to it. Not bad lads...
