Integrity 2000
Integrity 2000
[Victory]
Why the hell did Dwid add "2000" to the band's name? Maybe because of the
complete line-up change? Ah, who cares. Let's just talk about the music.
This is another winner from Dwid and Co. With each subsequent release
Integrity were becoming less of a hardcore band and more of a metal band.
Well, now the only thing that ties them to hardcore is their Victory Records
affiliation. Listening to their past albums, you could still say that they
are a hardcore band. No more. "Integrity 2000" is fuckin' metal with the
capital "M." The band's frank song writing approach remained the same, but
the music became even more brutal and devastating. Viscous riffs,
double-bass drums, Dwid's animalistic roars - totally thrashing, ripping
sound, very Slayer-esque in places. In other words, it became metal. With
this album Integrity (2000 - I just can't get used to this number) came full
circle, becoming a prime proof, along with bands like Hatebreed, Coalesce,
Botch, Turmoil and numerous others, that 1990's hardcore is really metal in
disguise.
