Sepultura
Schizophrenia
[Roadrunner]

This is an awesome album, although you can't compare it to "Beneath the Remains" and "Arise", this album reflects the evolution of the band from the very fundament of their music showed on "Morbid Visions". If Morbid Visions was straight up "Slayer", this album is straight up "Sepultura", cause the band is losing all the "fotocopy" aspects and is gaining a musical personality of their own. This is enhanced with the departure of old lead guitar Jairo Guedez and the entering of new element Andreas Kisser, very influenced by Thrash bands like Metallica and Exciter. This new element was the one that will change all the identity of Sepultura, from a practical joke musically and lyrically to a respected and established band inside the Brazilian metal scene.

From their first riff in "From the Past comes the storms", the band has proved that was stronger than ever, and ready to fuck shit up internationally. Very good riffs, amazing soloing, a stab - in - the - ass drumming and remarkably aggressive vocals by Max Cavalera, although this album isn't well produced as their later attempts. This is the only poor aspect on this album, and that's fucking bad, cause the music is great (listen to "Inquisition Symphony" if you don't believe me!).

FUCK SHIT UP!!
