Bestial Warlust
Blood and Valour
[Modern Invasion]

I hate how this album was packaged. It's not a glossy insert, instead it was done with a thicker, more cardboard-like material. The corners literally ripped the first time I took it out of the case! Arghhh!

Keith is gone here, sadly, and it does show. Session bass player (wearing a Spear of Longinus) shirt replacing Corpsemolestor, Battleslaughter replacing Keith, etc. Joe and Bloodstorm are still here though, so you'd think some of the "magic" would remain.

Bloodstorm's vocals are great, but that's really it. A few tracks like "Blood and Valour", "I the Warrior" and the super killer "Prelude:Descention" all destroy, but the "free for all" metal orgy of "Vengeance…" is lacking here. Tighter, yes, better production, yes, but that's not the point with Bestial Warlust. Luckily Keith went on to form an even greater band.

Sadly, Bestial Warlust have broken up it seems. I'm not even sure if their final album "Fist of Satan" was ever recorded. Here's hoping it gets released somehow…
