I can't say I was very impressed with the band's first CD, and this being their demos, I didn't really expect anything more. Fuckin' hell-metal batman! This stuff kills in an old evil metal sort of way. Argghhh 'Yuggothian Slayers' destroys!
Two demos I assume, one album quality, the other a tad rougher but still of excellent sound quality. From the vocal/instrumental assault of 'Volkruun Jhuul Zhahruus' to the down tuned C.Frost style riff vocal barrage in 'Clavieula Salomonis' - Blood Storm crush and kill.
Influences from earlier Celtic Frost to earlier Bathory (especially in some of the drumming) and of course Darkthrone (especially in the second part of the disc) are evident - but it's a clean and healthy fusion that makes this disc a pleasure to listen to. Now I want that third CD on the Immolation lads' label!
