Blakk (of Angelkill) seems to be going for an Exorcist/Mercyful Fate combo with his side project. The song titles especially remind me of something written by King Diamond: "The Funeral Candle", "1640", "Memories of the Attic", "Resurrection Mary", etc. I'm certain I'm not the only one to notice this…
Fuck, I don't know what this is going for. Melodic riffs leading up to solos (Fate?), hoarse, raw vocals (really similar to Exorcist in some places, I'm talking about the band of course), a boring, lame feel to the music (too many bands to choose from?). Only the most patient/dedicated assholes will get anything out of this. I listened to it for a spin and then sent it to the corner of my collection, where it will forever hang it's head in shame for wasting my time and money, never to return to my CD player again.
