Viciously attacking you with their raw brutality, Anwyl plays blaspheming smoldering black metal/war metal. The ferociousness of the drummer-Mikai, is impressive. "Bloody Mary" includes: "Assassins of the Unlight", "Nocturnal Misanthrope", "In the Halls of Infamy", "Bloody Mary", "Intro...", and "Seasons of Suicide". Anwyl has been together since '97, first forming under the name Xaphan. "Bloody Mary" is Anwyl's debut release on Non Compos Mentis Records, having only released demo's prior to this effort--("Demo '98" and "Inferior Molestation"). Production is lacking, but doesn't take away from the malevolence of the music. It's hard to believe Anwyl is from of all places, Kansas--"Toto we're not in Kansas anymore". If you like music that beats you until your dripping with blood, try Anwyl!
