Dark Heresy
Abstract Principles Taken To Their Logical Extremes
[Unisound]

Mainly death metal in character, but incorporating everything from tad bits of gothic to ragtime piano parts and salsa/flamenco guitar parts, Dark Heresy are fine musicians who put a lot of effort into their songs. All the songs are cleverly written. Outside influences are incorporated well I guess. But at times, its like they took stock parts from jazz/blues or whatever and threw them in there randomly just to be different . . but these stock parts segue well into the metal parts . . so I guess it isn't all that bad. I give Dark Heresy an A for effort, and a B for execution. Production is clear, if a bit thin, and all instruments are played well. Vocals are mainly death raspy, with the occasional clean vocal (for a line or two).
