This one man project offers straightforward black metal with more of a traditional heavy/death metal feel riffwise. This release is not ground breaking, and is slightly Bathory-ish from time to time, but overall he comes across as fairly original. Gernoth uses a drum machine (programmed adequately and no techno beats) for their brand of "gotischer black metal". Don't let that fool you, this is no CoF or black metal with whiny, goth vocals. Keys are present, but are used only to reinforce guitar chord choices. I'm not sure how it was recorded, but it's pretty clear for a self produced demo, a little gritty but clear.
