Maniac Butcher
Cerna Krev
[Pussygod]
Barbaraud has once again returned with his worthy troupe of violent black
metal cavemen in search of more second wave blood. This Czech band has won
its way into many a black metal fan for their true exclusion and isolation of any
‘trends’ and undiluted barbarity.
Once again, Maniac Butcher present us with another effort of solid, unwavering
brutal black violence. Each song rounds itself out nicely and inevitably ends up
sounding like any other random song on the album, but hey, what does that
matter when a band plays with this much primitivity and passion? Filled with
Barbaraud’s insane, harsh barks, relentless, headache inducing double bass and
some catchy rhythms littered here and there, virtually no speed bumps are
encountered on their triumphant journey towards carving the most
uncompromising musical products ever churned out.
Not much different from their previous efforts then, but it must be said that if
you are searching for black metal that lacks in any subtlety imaginable, that
openly desecrates any weak idea that the likes of Thy Serpent and Cradle Of
Filth have implanted in your head , then Maniac Butcher will be the answer to
your wet dreams. A black metal orgasm, anyone?
