Entombed
Uprising
[Music For Nations]
Track by track run down goes like this :
1. 'Seeing Red' - Nice Fast Eddie type soloing in the opener
2. 'Say It In Slugs'- Catchiest song on the disc, good riff with an awesome
change of pace (almost Frosty)
3.'Won't Back Down'- Faster paced, so far no let up
4.'Insanity Is Contagious'- spoke to soon, here's the let up...filler
5.'Something Out Of Nothing'- Has a Slayer (Season's...era) vibe to it's
riffage...decent
6.'Scottish Hell'- Cover of a Dead Horse song (never heard it before)...boring
7.'Time Out'- filler, why bother...lackluster
8.'The Itch'- is a sloppy bitch
9.'Year In Year Out'- Entombed find more ways of losing their old fanbase
10.'Returning To Madness'- slow song, nothing special
11.'Come Clean'- Here's more like it, some speed and life, was almost
flatlining there
12.'In The Flesh'- Entombed get Sabbathy and it works
Overall this is a decent CD despite what seems like some serious negativity
on my part towards the middle of the CD. The new Entombed is still slow in
terms of winning me over, some of it works really well, some not so much.
At least it isn't as bad as 'Same Difference', if it was maybe they could
go for a name change like N-Tombed or something...
