This could be what ROOT might sound like today if they never stopped playing black metal and opt for the darker, more "epic" metal sound presented on their last 3 albums. There seems to be some early death metal influence mixed with the traditional ROOT feel, giving some originality to the album. Big Boss' vocals are more like his works from the first 2 ROOT albums, less clean vocals and more of the screams mixed with a low "speaking" type voice. "Belial's Wind" even includes 2 re-worked ROOT tracks, "Song For Satan" ("Pisen Prosatana" from "Zjeveni" sung in English) and "Stin Prokleti" (from their demo "Messengers Of Darkness"). These versions are nowhere near as good as the originals, but still quite effective.
