Nasty Savage
Wage of Mayhem
[Bootleg]

This is the classic 1984 demo burned onto cd. It sounds clear, just like the original as far as I can recall. Total footstompin', headbangin', fistbangin', kickass metal! Total underground faves from tapetraders and fanzines to larger press (Metal Forces, Kerrang) all due to these 4 songs and their energetic stage performances.

This is old school heavy metal played raw and unpretentiously. Remember the first time you played a Black Sabbath or Anvil album as a kid? That's the feeling I get when "Unchained Angel" is cranked. Like,'I know this is old hat but it fuckin rules!' Instant addiction to that distorted buzzsaw guitar and heavy riffs.

Nasty Ronnie's vocals weren't loved by everyone, as he was using falsetto sometimes. I always thought he sang just right on this tape.

"Unchained Angel" and "Savage Desire" are straight ahead bangers. "Witches Sabbath" has such evil guitar throughout the entire song, it could have been written by Mercyful Fate. A classic, and as far as I know, this is the only song ever covered by another band (Rampage). Last track, "XXX" pounds hard, loud and proud like El Wipo Asso knocking you over there rubberneck. Nasty Ronnie uses only his lower range with a bit of dementia. He should have always sang like he did on XXX. This is required listening (that is if you can find it, or someone with a copy of the tape).
