This is a two song rough mix from "his majesty" cd. First is "I am Cleopatra's Killer. The black metal speed demons shred for five minutes with a few cool breaks. Svartsyn have cleaned up their sound, as opposed to "The true legend" debut. While they still sort of remind me of Bathory and Dark Throne, the second lightning fast song "Dungeons" brings to mind Immortal too.

While not groundbreaking and the "thinner" sound won't win over death metallers, Svartsyn are one of the underground's most killer, competent, true-to-the-spirit-of-old-school metal bands around.

Yep, vicious, hyperfast, amazing riffs that evoke memories of sitting down with your first "satanic" metal albums and feeling the intensity, insanity, and fury of black metal. The tape's still available for $5 U.S., but if you get the cd, you don't need this. I bought it anyway, so Nyah Nyah Nyah!
