Satyricon
Intermezzo II
[Moonfog]

I had heard a lot of things concerning SATYRICON's "new direction", and yet nothing could prepare me for this total rape of the musical genre black metal!

This shitty release features 4 songs and thus I'll go through it track by track:

1. "A Moment of Clarity"
This song was the first one this band made giving hints to the boring, gay, commercial crap-direction SATYRICON would explore in the future. This song lasts for over 7 minutes and I hate every minute of it. It's beyond me how Satyr suddenly lost all his songwriting ability. There's no feeling whatsoever in this song and the whole damn thing oozes with these over-technical, industrial homo-riffs. Disgusting. This is simply one of the most blatantly boring songs I've ever heard from a (what once was) black metal band. The lyrics are equally boring, total nonsense crap. Naturally, Satyr's vocals suck...but I mean SUCK!! Why couldn't he keep on with his natural BM rasp he had on the previous albums? The man's voice seems to have gone through at least 5 different shitty industrial assholes, distortions and mixers. This is total crap.

2. "I.N.R.I."
This is a cover of a SARCOPHAGO song. SATYRICON have obviously not only decided to rape their own music, but also rape someone elses too! Congratulations, for you have succeeded! I hope SARCOPHAGO kicks Satyr's & Frost's asses for this.

3. "Nemesis Divina" (clear vision mix)
This is a song from SATYRICON's previous album "Nemesis Divina" which was still good black metal. Honestly, I don't hear any difference whatsoever between this version and the one on "Nemesis...". I call this pure rip-off!

4. "Blessed from Below"
With this song, SATYRICON proceed deeper into the spheres of ultimate gayness. This is some electro-industrial/retro/punk/hip-hop/rap/techno bullshit. A total waste of time...

The artwork on this album also sucks big time! I'm sure fans of the new SATYRICON will be delighted to see Satyr's new gay bald-head look on the front cover.

This shitload of crap doesn't deserve a better rating than 0.
