Damn!! This IS incredible!! ENOCHIAN CRESCENT have managed to chase away about 99 % of the pathetic, pacifist, forest-devil worshipping pseudo-black metallers with this display of sick/evil and twisted black art.
What EC have managed to create here, is a breath-taking hybrid of melodic black/death metal with SUCH evil overall atmosphere I simply couldn't believe it the first time I heard this. (And especially when I read the lyrics!!)
The first thing that really struck me was the incredible voice vocalist drakh Wrath has! I have not witnessed such fucking sick "singing" for a long time! Needless to say, the man's vocals are brilliant. (Wrath gets my vote for one of the best BM vocalists in the genre!)
Onto the music, the opener "Oceanus on the Dry Land" will shred you into pieces with its speed and Wrath's most uncompromising vocals! More skullcrushing can be witnessed/heard in "Tis the Sound of Tempest That Drowns Us Out", "Igne Natura Renovatur Integra", "Vakisinkastettu" and "Grey Skin". Let me have a few words on these.
"Tis the Sound..." starts aggressively, then calming down towards the end, slowly developping into a majestic chorus combining Wrath's rasps and clean vocals. Stunning would be an understatement.
"Igne Natura Renovatur Integra" has a fucking brilliant main guitar-riff that simply kills! During the entire song, BM singing is combined with clean vox from the brilliant guitarist Victor. The result is breath-taking. EC have truly a unique way of combining hatred, evil, darkness and sorrow. (listen to the aforementioned songs finale)!
For the Finnish audience, the centerpiece of the album is surely the uncompromising "Vakisinkastettu". Again, the main-riff is brilliant, but the song reaches its climax in the middle, where all the instruments fade into a slow rhythm with only the bass and drums giving background to what surely is one of the sickest displays of hysteric HATRED ever blasting through the vocal chords of Wrath! How can anyone sound like this?!? It's quite incredible I'd say. The guy practically invokes Satan to torture him while bathing in the blood of christians. That's what the lyrics suggest. The lyrics (in Finnish) on this song are surely the most blasphemous ever created by anyone in the Finnish BM scene. This is exactly the type of thing you can use to scare the living shit out of trend-bastards!
The last song "Grey Skin" is in my opinion the best one from the 9 songs on the album. There is such a brooding evil atmosphere during the whole thing. The lyrics are about self-mutilation as suggests the picture behind the lyrics. (Wrath's arm slashed quite deeply with blood pouring from everywhere. This photo was actually taken during one of EC's rare live performances)

-"Do you dare to join the choir of open skin and weeping flesh?"
-"Dare you listen to their weeping. Those red tears of pain. The silent moans from their mouths, and the flowing sighs"
You just have to hear this for yourselves. The lyrics are in English, Finnish and Enochian. As far as I know, Wrath and Victor actually practice Enochian magick & rituals etc...
Undoubtedly, "Omega Telocvovim" is a milestone of uncompromising Finnish Black Metal.
