Celtic Frost
To Mega Therion
[Noise]

When speaking of legends in metal, one would be hard pressed not to include Celtic Frost. Now it is quite obvious that Celtic Frost was a band that wished to progress more than anything else, and that for better or worse, the elements would already appear on this album, but it was not untill "Into The Pandemonion" Celtic Frost took the step fully, and it was a step they probably should not have taken. Their experiments worked on this album rather splendid, perhaps due to the fact that they were kept in small amounts, the minor amounts of female operatic vocal works added in for instance "Circle Of The Tyrants" and "Necromantical Screams", really helps bring out the sinister malevolent spirit of this album, the adding of some very bombastic keyboards and timpani to some songs also helps underlines the spirit, and what it all comes of as is something in spirit so vile and grim, that it has most modern black metal beat by a long shot. By far this does inspire to thoughts of the purest darkness like an audio ceremonial invocation of the dark master. This could well have been the prasising of the devil's ascension unto the mortal world, it is a work of art worthy even of him...
