Neptune Towers
Caravans To The Empire Algol
[Moonfog]

For those unfamiliar, Neptune Towers is one of the many sideprojects of the wolf himself, Fenris. Along with Isengard, Wongraven, and even Darkthrone at times, Neptune Towers is a purified outlet for this man's inner emotion, streaming forth from the very blackest dimensions of his mind. Neptune Towers however, unlike the first three mentioned bands, is simply cold blasphemic space translated through the sounds of keyboards and special effects into the body of the listener. Transmissions From Empire Algol, the second " part " in this two cd series, is based upon the mysterious demon star Algol, an elipsing binary star that is cut off from the line of sight to the earth each time it goes behind its companion, therefore seeming to blink. I'm not sure where or when the nickname " demon star " appeared, and it does not concern this review anyways. BACK TO THE REVIEW GODDAMNIT!!

Yes, Neptune Towers is deep space music with keyboards and sound effects as, " drums and guitars are very earthly instruments." There are two VERY long songs on here, and its just one of those magical albums where you ( the listener ) are, when under the influence of the music, truly and entirely free of this planet, and your body. Its as though you are actually floating through the event horizon of a black hole, and are lost to the universe as we know it forever....... or maybe not.

You decide if you can find a copy.
