I had often heard Einherjer called brilliant viking metal, which is a term that makes me almost puke just by hearing it, but there has been a few bands that made that type of thing work, so I didn't want to dismiss Einherjer beforehand, but in retrospect I wish I had, for this is one miserable peice of shit album. Very poor heavy/thrash metal type stuff, with some of the most awful clean vocals I have heard in a long long time. This album could quite easily with different lyrics and image be something else than viking metal, as it is as I said merely poor heavy/thrash metal, and not even any power or an interesting riff. An album that is an utter failure from start till end. I'd just say damn good these jokers weren't the prototype for vikings, or the brits and frogs would have kicked their arse all over the place.
