Impaled Nazarene
Tol Cormpt Norz Norz Norz
[Osmose]

I.N.'s debut album is really sick and it should really be heard by those who used to want their death metal more obscure, raw and cult than all the rest. "Tol..." has some of the spirit that there used to be in the Finnish scene back in the days when everyone was playing more death metal, an impersonal sense of attachment to the impersonal satanic forces that rule the universe.

A kind of innocent way of mysticism separates this from the wanking pretentiousness where most bands from this time have now fallen and don't feel like anything we want to associate with black metal. We want our stuff raw, obscure and intolerant and this is exactly the way "Tol Cormpt..." is and it's great for those who like to dig into the roots of modern black metal.

Lots of hardcore influences, a persistent and simplistic speeds, lots of silly interludes with pigs squealing and goats baying - what else would one expect from this? Sometimes even the vocals are emphasized with a brutal, demonic pitch shifter and as I've gathered, this has been a lot inspired by porn movies and the first Deicide album.

Don't try to find some 'philosophy' from this, just cut your flesh and worship Satan.

In the eternal Finnish nocturnal woodlands, naturally.
