IMPALED NAZARENE's best album together with "Nihil", "Ugra-Karma" is also certainly the most "norwegian-inspired" CD of the band, because almost all songs remind me of Norwegian Black Metal bands who were ruling the scene at the time ! But it's also certainly the most controversial, which is due to several tracks (contrary to "Suomi Finland Perkele", on which only the track "Total war" caused trouble to the band). For example, the lyrics of "chaosgoat law" contain the sentence "SS law", those of "Hate" (probably the most "norsk-styled" track of the album) are not available, even on the most recent IMPALED NAZARENE website, and the booklet invites us not to ask these lyrics ( !! ), and "Gott is tot" is not beyond suspicion... So It's a bit strange that the only group of persons who took the band to court with this CD is the coven Hare Krishna, because of the use of a picture taken from their "sacred book" on the 1st edition of the artwork... The re-issue contains a remix version of "gott ist tot" (the first version isn't available) and two bonus tracks, "Satanic masowhore" (from the self-titled EP) and a cover version of EXTREME NOISE TERROR, "Conned thru life". Even if you don't like other IMPALED NAZARENE's releases, listen to this one, it's worthy enough !
