You will have to be lucky to get this MCD, as it is limited to 500 (sold-out) copies... It was out on Surma Prods ( ??? I guess this is one of the members' own label ??? ). The 3 tracks were recoreded at the end of 1998. Formerly known as CRIMSON EVENFALL, these finnish guys of MUSTA SURMA (Thyrgimmr on vocals, drums & bass and Strigoi Mort on guitars) play on that excellent MCD a "GORGOROTH-like" Black Metal, which is really good for suckers like me, who do not like new productions but prefer old shit ! I didn't know CRIMSON EVENFALL before (and haven't heard anything of it yet), but I guess it was not as good as this band becasue if it had been the case, C.E. would have certainly be much better known, as MUSTA SURMA's really a powerful band. It reminds of old glorious days of the Norwegian movement, when money hadn't corrupted everything and when musicians were playing with the guts ! I'm sure the equivalent (now) for the Norwegian scene of the beginning of the 90s is the Finnish scene, with so many good acts like HORNA, WARLOGHE, CLANDESTINE BLAZE, BLOODHAMMER... and, of course, MUSTA SURMA !
