NS Black Metal with guttural vocals and ambient/ritual music is what the Ukrainian guys of HATE FOREST plays on this release. There are 4 tracks on this MCD, the first two ones being the "Blood and Fire" EP and the last ones being the "Ritual" EP. Both EPs were recorded during the year 2001. The "Blood and fire" EP features two EXCELLENT black metal tracks with (brutal) death metal vocals, I would easily compare the stuff here with some of the THOR'S HAMMER best tracks ! You can feel the hatred expressed through the lyrics of "Aryosophia" and "Nietzscheism", the music's really heavy and the vocals are so impressive that you have to admit this band is really uncommun and is much more interesting than 99% of the actual crap which is polluting BM. The "Ritual" EP consists in 2 ambient/ritual tracks ("Black god" & "Burning churches") with whispered vocals that will haunt your mind endlessly. What is impressive is that HF makes great music in both styles, this is what makes the difference between excellent and shitty bands nowadays ! Buy this CD or keep listening to COF !
