Split tape from one of France's best bands (seigneur) and another I had not heard a thing about before getting this. Although SV is by no means an original band in any sense of the word, they seem to play their style of music nicely, and have a serious attitude towards their beliefs which I can respect with the utmost of confidence. They play three tracks on this tape, all of which follow precisely in the same suit as their three split cd, and their mcd. Having heard these, you will surely know what to expect; spiteful right wing songs of melodic satanic black metal in the purest form. I was somewhat dissapointed to learn that they used a drum machine ( the production on the afore mentioned albums was so horrid it covered this fact up!!) like so many of the bands coming out these days. I am of the opinion that if they actually took the time to get a real set, or perhaps had a fellow band member hold the throne, their music would benefit tenfold. However, it still kills regardless.

Chemin De Haine is another French band that relies heavily on that traditional melodic sound, although playing it under the guise of some more exotic elements such as classical guitars. Although it is still enjoyable to some extent, I need not go into any great depth for it really requires no description.

I would only recommend this for those who know what to expect from the French scene!!!!
