Re-issue of the 1991 demo,this MCD presents the early face of MARDUK, a kind of death/black metal played with hatred and disgust. This is a very good release and that was the best period of the band in my sense, far from the commercial BM they play now. The tracklist contains such classics as "Departure from the Mortals", "The black..." and "Within the abyss", with an intro taken from the movie "The exorcist". Morgan Hakansson is the only remaining member from the line-up who recorded this demo, at the time in the band there was also Joakin Av Graf, who would lately sing along with the band until the "Opus Nocturne" LP.When you hear this you understand how Morgan could also play in the sick ABRUPTUM...
