Any word on a new Summoning album?  I've been getting into their stuff again recently (coinciding with my Tolkien/Star Wars binge of the past month).

Though I have great faith in the intellect of Luc Lemay, I fear any new Gorguts will fall far short of the watermarks of old.

Averse hasn't failed to please thus far, I'm quite excited to hear that Sorcier is putting out new material, and I too would be pleased to hear of a new Summoning record.

By and large though, I don't want to look at these things with rose-coloured glasses; just because I loved them in the beginning doesn't mean I should turn a blind eye to any potentially abusive musical trespasses in the future.

...so long as they hit me where the bruises won't show, that is.

Remember when we were all excited over Negativa?  Remember when Negativa's EP came out?  Good times.

Yeah, Negativa was a let-down. As will be anything coming from Crimson Massacre. But that's neither here nor there.

There's still some things worth watching for - and besides that, there are still many classic recordings to draw succor from.

All isn't lost.

Nothing has come close to breeding the spawn and that was bloody 1993.

I could go with these alone if I was on a deserted island. But since I'm not, I eagerly wait for the new Adversarial, Revenge etc. There were some really good albums in 2010, too- physical copies of which are to be obtained.
