It's the old "metal doesn't make enough money, have a stupid rock album instead but with METAL TOUCHES" gig.

It's a shame to see them burn their own name at the stake for this. It's not even dumbed-down enough to succeed.

While following the development of the reunion of the "Animosity lineup" where they continue touring and producing a new album, it appears their original ambitions were to continue where Animosity left off, but then changed their minds to go back to doing their brand of "Southern Rock" with an "Edge". I thought the whole point of them touring and producing a new album with the 3 of them was to go back to their roots and bring them to life again. While I am disappointed, I am not surprised. Most current COC fans have told me they do not like their old "crossover" days, and with this in mind, I'm sure it's what is keeping this "animosity lineup" from doing another crossover album.
