I've been influenced by some of the discussion in the past few weeks and I'm transitioning into complete War Metal/Barbarian Metal mode:

Blasphemy - everything
Beherit - OoBB, DDtM, In the Devil's Studio, and a few odds and ends from demos
Cianide
Bolt Thrower - In Battle there is no Law
Blood
Deathstrike

Nothing fancy or refined.
And if we're going to listen to His Majesty at the Swamp, then we also need to listen to Genesis of Apocryphal Desire!

I would add Bestial Warlust to your list!

We have to add the shit band, or people will think we're not egalitarian.

Its becoming summer and I find myself listening to more Death Metal again, as opposed to the colder seasons, which seem to be primarily
Black Metal-dominated for me.

Which Bands do you prefer to listen to in hot weather?

Never thought of it really, but actually I am normally a bit more chilled out. So I tend to listen to more Epic Metal... Some Death but mainly more melodic when I do.

Of course they do.  We live in a democratic society - everyone's voice counts, no matter how retarded :)

For that matter, I enjoy Bestial Warlust for the moron-factor.

What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Is moron-factor the magical formula that lets bands like Numskull sound pretty good despite being knuckleheaded?

It's the ability whereby a few complete dumbasses can write music which fucking rips, because it's just so aggressive/violent/insane/stupid (or any combination of the four).  Anything which automatically mandates furious headbanging while being melodically/structurally retarded falls into the dubious category of "Moron Metal" (FUCK YEAH, NUM SKULL).

Best verse from bestial warlust:

"I do the fuck I want when I want
Im not looking for peace, trying to start a war
I get my pleasure from sex and drugs
 When I make a kill I don't give a fuck!"

stupid lyrics aside, they made FURIOUS metal, the metal of war!!!

I don't want to be a dick, but I find such attempts to "re-contextualize" the classics over and over again a little bit sad. What metal do you listen while do you cut the grass? Then someone comes with the top ten list of grass-cutting metal for the next grass-cutting session.

It hurts to recognize that there's nothing new under the Sun...

I like to listen to Brian Eno when I cut the grass

Yeah, Bestial Warlust is definitely one of those really-dumb-but-somehow-its-really-good cases. Sorta like Massacre or Sort Vokter. Both albums are class. Glad they didn't overstay their welcome.
