This is an idea I've never encountered from any scientist.  I've heard certain ignorant lay people put forth ideas like this, but this is just a non-issue.  Are there credible people who actually make statements like this?  If there are, I have never heard of them.

Although it has neither the dry wit nor the innate truth of the sex/pornography analogy. I mean, a scientist (alpha male) has no need for pornography even though the option to resort to it is always there, whereas a philosopher (virgin) is unequipped for anything else.
