The key to not being disappointed is to not expect anything. This is a public access forum with no rules regarding nonsensical posts.
As for the actual topic, it comes down to your own values. Driving a Prius isn't helpful to the environment in the long term, so I'd consider that a rather stupid point to raise. As for being honest and upright, I'd recommend it because of the following.
- People tend to be more receptive to what you have to say if you are known to be honest and straightforward.
- In my brain it makes more sense to work towards improving your community (through developing good relations with neighbors and the like)
- Being upright in actions (not being a drunkard, junkie, child molester, etc) seems to lead people towards being content rather than away from it.
Again, it comes down to personal values, you can be one of the mindless do-nothings or you can work towards something nice for yourself, your family, and your community.
