Signs of collapse

Signs of collapse

The real problem with metal, is that people keep on stealing it.
Look at all the war memorial plaques that are disappearing in England.
Electrical cables, manhole covers...
Everyone blames rising metal prices, but I blame a general lack of discipline and respect.
Soon everything will be made of carbon fibers and resin.
You really know your civilization is in trouble when everything is unrecoverable lightweight composites.

I blame a general lack of discipline too because there are always things to steal that are worth money, it's just that now people are trying to steal the easy pickings.
but i'm not sure if i can tinkle in front of a crowd.

All respect for each other and society in general has been destroyed.

Our police state is rising.

We're not much better off than the USSR, eh?
I don't know about you guys, but I love my under-120s. They're so cute and funny. Just yesterday one stole my GPS unit and another one took a dump in my yard. Ha ha, they're such cards.

I'm still at a loss as to how someone can resell something like a manhole cover, memorial plaque, or any other piece of metal like that. I know that scrapyards will pay you for recyclable metal, but how do they not look at it and say, "Hey that looks a lot like a city manhole cover..."

When all you can see is money, any other detail - like a striking resemblance to a manhole cover - is lost.
