Fix troubled families = a bigger bureaucracy, universal laws that will unnecessarily apply to well-managed homes and will be resented by those people they aim to help, more social programs that will allure corrupt government employees to embezzle funds from, ad infinitum.

Different perceptions...
I've met quite a few home-schooled whatever-they-are.
Generally they are very full of themselves, have huge holes in the continuity of what they know, and have no idea about social interaction.
Hmmm. That's really not very different from everybody else, come to think of it.

Most people have become very self-important, but the home-schooled seem to have taken it to truly dizzying heights.
