Ancient Wisdom - For Snow Covered the Northland

Just found this album out and wanted to share it here. Released in 1996, written and recorded between 1994 and 1995. I wonder why I've never heard of this album until now. This album comes together through syncretization of the neo-classical European styles of the day. Beautiful melodies recall moments from the Karelian Isthmus, Oneiricon - The White Hypnotic and His Majesty at the Swamp. While clearly ideologically aligned to the Norwegians this album draws heavily from the Hellenic school. As with Septic Flesh(just hearing them gave me additional perspective on this) or Dissection, this album sees an occasional foray into heavy metal rooted lead guitar line, but they're never disjointing and serve to reconcile the various metal traditions into a piece Neo-classical High Art. Uploaded this into audiofile, link below. Never heard any of their other albums. What ya think?
