Is the entire population so completely lacking in perception that a potential ally is seen to be an enemy?
Is everybody so totally out of balance, that anyone who is, gets lynched?
Is there really no way that extremists can recognize their extremeness?
Is it really so impossible for anybody to put on the brakes and simply stop?

I have a simple message.
"You don't have to be insane!"
"You can wake up, feeling good, not hating anybody, and enjoy being alive."
"You don't have to spend your time arguing, fighting, scheming, lying."
"You don't have to prove anything to anyone, or demand they provide proof to you."

All these threads and comments make me think of a likely winner in the who-shall-we-genocide competition.
