Vatican and Oxford University team up to digitize ancient texts

"The Bodleian Libraries of the University of Oxford and the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana (BAV) said on Thursday they intended to digitize 1.5 million pages of ancient texts and make them freely available online."

This is very exciting news! I can't wait to see when or how they'll be available; I've got a LOT of reading to do.

Alternatively, this could be considered as:
Anything known to man is already known to man.
Rather than know what is already known, perhaps your own discoveries might contribute to what is known.


Gotta walk before you can run crow. I probably don't know much about these texts, but I really want to read the files when they're uploaded. Maybe then I can contribute something.

What occurs to me is that - in my case - I have reached an understanding with the world around me.
I learn whatever I learn about life first-hand, and test everything I learn, myself, to see if it works.
If it works, I retain it. If it doesn't, it gets the boot.
I realize most people don't do this.
